A Clayton Steam Generator is a once through, forced flow, water tube boiler utilizing a steel helical coil heat exchanger. All Clayton steam generators, both fired or unfired, contain three main components: a helical coil heat exchanger, the positive displacement feedwater pump and the mechanical steam separator. Additionally, all Claytons use the latest PLC microprocessor based control systems, servo actuated fuel control systems and are available with low NOx burners to meet the strictest emissions requirements.

Clayton currently offers Fired Steam Generators and Fluid Heaters in 18 sizes ranging from 25 to 1000 Boiler Horsepower (245 to 9,810 kW) and 862 to 34,500 pounds of steam per hour (391 to 15,650 kg/hr). These controlled-flow water tube boilers units are built to appropriate national and local standards, using high quality materials and workmanship. Units are designed to burn natural gas, propane, light oil and heavy oil, as well as a combination of these fuels and are available with steam design pressures up to 3000 psig. Two product lines are offered. One product line covers from 25 to 200 BHP (245 to 1,962 kW) or 863 to 6,900 pounds per hour (391 to 3,130 kg/hr). The other covers from 150 to 1000 BHP (1,472 to 9,810 kW) or 5,175 to 34,500 pounds per hour (2,347 to 15,650 kg/hr).
A special 'superheat' version of the E-series product is offered which provides superheated steam and is available in a variety of sizes from 200 to 1000 BHP (1,962 to 9,810 kW) for a range of steam pressures and temperatures. Clayton also offers an unfired line of Waste Heat and Exhaust Gas Steam Generators in a wide variety of configurations and sizes. This product line features many of the same benefits as our fired units and can also be used in combination with fired units.
All our units can be supplied with complete Feedwater Treatment Systems and with factory Skid Mounting to reduce field installation costs.
